T.N. HOSPITAL

T.N. Hospital is a nonprofit hospital located in the village of Kurdhe 22 km south of Ratnagiri in the state of Maharashtra, India.

 

This hospital will serve about 50 villages around Ratnagiri with a total population of  40,000 people

 

All of these villages face the same fate that is either shortage or non-availability of medical facilities.

 

This hospital will be a center of medical and surgical disciplines including general medicine and surgery ENT, ophthalmology, plastic surgery.

 

The first stage of the hospital consist of a 10,000 ft.² building with two general wards, male and female, eight private rooms, two outpatient clinics, three operating rooms,  a medical shop and a kitchen. Construction of the first sage started in 2013 and is now complete. Construction of the second and third phase will commence next year adding another 80 beds to the hospital.

 

The hospital is the dream and vision of Dr. Raj and Lalita Lalla who have been traveling to several villages in India and performing free surgical procedures for the last 20 years. They spend 3 to 4 weeks every year treating about 800 to 1000 patients with congenital and acquired deformities. What has struck them is the paucity of healthcare facilities in the rural areas and the lack of funds which prevent patients from seeking medical care.

 

With this in mind they have sought to build the T.N. hospital in the village of Kurdhe  south of Ratnagiri, a hospital that will cater to the healthcare needs of the public with special emphasis on treating the needy and the patients who cannot afford medical care.

 

The hospital will provide for medical care with heart and compassion and with the true spirit of service to humanity. Their goal is to never let anyone suffer because they cannot afford the cost of treatment.

 

The hospital will be run by the Lalla Charitable Trust, registered in Mumbai. As the Hospital is being run by a charitable Trust there are no other sources of income. Hence, the hospital requires urgent help from your organization.
